Overview and Application Details

  • Eligible Applicants: Undergraduate and graduate students
    • Enrollment Status: Must be currently enrolled at the time of application (leave of absence allowed during the program; students exceeding the standard duration of study are not eligible)
  • Number of Selected Participants: Approximately 20 students, selected within the available budget
  • Activity Period: Up to 6 months, flexible according to the applicant’s preference
  • Host Institutions: Selected autonomously by the applicants

  • Activity allowances for research and practical training are paid monthly for up to 3 months (a maximum of 3 payments) if the activity period is 60 days or longer.
  • Overlapping support with on-campus field training programs, specialized research courses, or other support programs is not allowed.
  • Academic credits are not granted, except for partial credit recognition in the case of overseas seasonal semesters.

Eligibility Criteria & Evaluation Process

  • Eligibility Criteria: Must be a currently enrolled student (undergraduate or graduate) at the university and have completed at least one semester.
    • “Applications may be submitted individually or as a team (no limit on team size).
    • Note: Number of participants may be adjusted during the selection process.”
    • No GPA or language test score requirements.
    • Only new applicants to the Global Talent Development Program for Cultural Heritage are eligible.
    • ※ Each student is eligible for this support only once during their undergraduate or graduate studies
  • Evaluation Process : First Stage: Recommendation by the department chair – 2. Second Stage: Review by the International Exchange and Cooperation Committee
    • Evaluation will consider the purpose and sincerity of the activity plan, the host institution, and an overview of the proposed program.
    • Bonus points will be given if the activity takes place at a partner institution with an existing exchange agreement (MOU).
    • The number of selected participants may vary depending on the available budget.
    • ※ Applicants are expected to independently plan and propose activities related to their major or interest in cultural heritage, including academic, educational, fieldwork, and practical experiences.
    • ※ Applications proposing only travel or site visits to overseas cultural heritage sites will be excluded from consideration.

      • Activity videos may be used for university promotions and on official social media platforms.
  • Program Application Procedure
    1. Program announcement and recruitment
    2. Submit application to your department office : Includes Activity Plan and Recommendation Letter
    3. Department recommends applicants to the K-Heritage International Center (via official letter)
    4. International Exchange and Cooperation Committee convenes and evaluates applicants
    5. Final selection and notification of successful applicants
    6. Submit pre-departure documents : Invitation letter, flight ticket purchase details, proof of travel insurance, pledge form, etc.
    7. Departure and program participation
    8. Submit final report within 15 days of return : Includes original flight ticket, certificate of completion, and final report
    9. Disbursement of airfare and activity allowance
    10. Sharing of activity video on the university website and social media
